range - Downtown Denver

Downtown Denver restaurant, range, serves Western Frontier inspired dishes! Their menu is influenced by the "New American West". Perfect for Colorado. The restaurant is located right in the heart of the city within the Renaissance Hotel on 17th & Champa.

The vibe when you walk in is almost a saloon-like feel. But, the food & drink menu truly reflects that this is an upscale restaurant. Their Happy Hour is reasonably priced and features craft cocktails and local brews. $4 for a craft beer is pretty standard when on draft.

The HH menu also features the AMAZING candied habanero bacon (pictured above). This bacon comes in a beautiful bouquet-like presentation and combines hints of sweet, spicy, & salty flavors. Highly recommend.

The lunch menu features wood fire pizza, soups, sandwiches, salads, and chef plates. I would recommend the pizzas - the crust is perfection. I would also recommend these two shareable plates:

The Sweet Potato Hush Puppies were to die for. They are the definition of comfort food with a small twist. The dish comes with a side Cilantro Salad and a Honey Chipotle Butter for dippin'.

The Field & Stream Board is not only pretty, but delicious as well. The bison brat, goat chorizo, and duck prosciutto are accompanied by a trout dip that is delicious on the baguette.

For Dinner, I recommend the Porcini Mushroom Agnolotti. This is a vegetarian option. The pasta is stuffed with ricotta & squash and topped with sauteed spinach, freshly grated parmesan cheese, and mushroom in a shallot brandy creme sauce! There is definitely a hint of truffle in there too - as you can taste it even within your first bite.

If you are looking for a nice restaurant to take out-of-towners or to celebrate a special occasion, this may just be the place. The central location is prime and their dishes definitely reflect a Wild West vibe.
